When the weather is bad....

...all you can do it scrap! :D I prepared way too many kits last week when I went to that crop. So now I'm on a roll to get them done.
SJ kit - Blur
Used photos of the day our sweet little Elizabeth Nicole was born. I LOVED the rub-ons inthis kit. They were fun to add just the right touch.
SJ kit - Westminster
From Disneyland when we discovered our new favorite snack. The BEST chocolate chips cookies EVER!!!
SJ kit - Jubilee
These are pre-packing and on the plane pics. You'd think we were a bit excited on the plane?!

I Went to an "official" crop!

I've NEVER been to a crop at a store before. Oh, sure I've got together with friends at homes and church but not at a scrapbook store. So my friend Diane and I drove down to Everett and scrapbooked from 4:00 pm - 9:30pm. The crop went longer but with the long drive we knew we needed to leave early. We had a BLAST!!
Here's what I finished that night (a 3rd one needs to be finished)

ScrapJammies Kit - Silver Lining
ScrapJammies Kit - Photographie
This one I finished the night before since I was gathering kits and "needed" to do it at home since there was painting involved.
ScrapJammies Kit - Never Forget

I also got to meet my ScrapJammies mb friend Bev in person. She's such a sweetie!! We all had too much fun.

Entry #3

Here's the layout I completed for the challenge I'm in over at Scrappy Arts. I'm getting my entry in a bit late (blame it on that stupid migraine) so I'm not up for winning anything. But here's the challenge guidelines:
Create a paper layout (8 X 8 or larger) with a topic of "FOOD."
Your favorite foods to cook, your family's favorite foods, restaurants you've visited, food in foreign countries, horrible food experiences, family recipes, etc. The choice is yours!! Your layout MUST also include these elements that are made from the letters of the word "City"
C- chipboard (my arrows)
I- ink (around the outside edge of the paper and tag)
T- tag (yep!)
Y- your favorite embellishment-- be sure to identify it and tell us WHY it's your favorite! (The "bling" heart and the brads. Just LOVE 'em)
And here are your race challenges:
Use a picture of food! (5 points) - The heart cookies & pizza
Use one or more arrows (5 points) - 2 of them
Use the name of a type of food in your title (not the word "food") (10 points) - "Treats"
Use paint on your layout (10 points) - nope

Wedding Thank you cards

Here's what I have been working on the last few days off and on. These are just for me to send out to thank my friends who helped with the wedding. I ordered the photos from Costco and put the border on the picture before they printed them. Love that feature!!

Winter Mini Book

Last night Rob took the kids to their activities at the church and I got to stay home ALONE for 2 hours!! What's a girl to do? SCRAPBOOK!!!! I work a 6x6 mim book I got over at Treasury of Memories. It went together really fast! I just have to finish with the journaling but I really like the way it turned out.

I added the ribbon because it looked too plain. I'm just not sure if that's the right something. What do you think? More? Less?

A few scrappy/crafty things I did for the wedding

Now that I'm starting to get some time to breathe a bit, I thought I'd show you some of the goodies I created for the wedding.

Picture frames - These were scattered all over the room for the reception. The words are just rub-ons. Very quick and easy.

Thanks to Kim for taking these pictures at the Temple and uploading them to Wal-greens. And thanks Michelle again for running to Wal-greens to pick these up for this ditzy mother-of-the-bride that drove right on by to the reception.

The Guestbook: I made the cover for them. ALL rub-ons.

Here's the actual "sign-in" part. We had Dori O'brien taking pictures of the guest upon their arrival and these will be on the left.
The guest wrote a little note on the plastic part. Unfortunately not as many people willingly let Dorii take their picture as we would have liked. So now I'll need to be creative in placing their "best wishes" to the happy couple on the pages.

Garter & Cake Servers:
I happened into JoAnn's Fabrics when these little guys were on 50% off. I just added the flowers, ribbon & tulle to spruce it up a bit.

Yes! It's been too long!

Can you believe it? Well, yes I'm sure you can. I've just been a bit busy around here to actually scrapbook a page. But I'm in a contest over at Scrappy Arts and this is my entry for race #2. Missed race #1 because of the wedding. But as I said over there on the mb, I will get race #1 done too. I'll just be that last car entering the stadium and crossing that finish line after the lights are out and everyone has gone home!!
Here's my entry:

Font Heaven

Yes! It truly has been since October that I've scrapbooked anything substantial. In fact, I still have a layout in progress. I've been overtaken by wedding things.
But you just HAVE to check this out! I'm a sucker for fonts and I had fun downloading some new ones from here. They're FREE!!! And while you're at it, check out this gals scrapbook room! Man! Is she ever organized?! And I think she can open her own retail store too. I don't think I'd ever remember what I owned and would buy duplicates. Especially with all that ribbon!

Finally!

I got this posted up here. Just a bit busy around here. When it's like this I really, really love my Scrapjammies kits. This one is called Rockets Red Glare. And yes!! Those are LEGAL fireworks! Lynette and I had way too much fun being the ones this year to buy the "fun".

More!

Here's what I did on Tuesday night.

ScrapJammies Kit - Up Down Round & Round

What I did with the picture frame~ I LOVE it!!!

While waiting for a Grandbaby to be Born!

I HAD to keep myself busy once I knew labor had started. So I put myself to fun work. Here's what I accomplished.

ScrapJammies - Rings of Approval
Pictures taken right before Robert & Jessica left for Utah

Placed a rub-on on a magnetic picture frame. SO easy!!

I got this basket when I puchased those liter shampoo/conditioner combo's at the hair salon. I'm not going to put metal in the shower but I didn't want to throw it away either. I found the felt pumpkins at JoAnn's (2 for $1) added some natural, black & orange raffia. I'm goign to fil lit with some goodies and give it away!

My scrappin' mojo is happenin'

Have I told you how much I LOVE ScrapJammies? HA! Here's another kit I did this weekend. I was able to use photos from over the years to document my girls' relationship. They really liked these pages when they saw them. I do too :O)

Saturday Scrappin'

Sometimes gloomy, rainy days are the best days to get some scrapping done. I was able to finish both of these today.

ScrapJammies September kit - Calypso. My crazy kids - 1994 when I only had 3!

ScrapJammies September kit - Terra Firma. Our annual ice skating party with the traditional Starbucks hot chocolate. Well, except for David who had the Strawberries & Cream Frappachino. Crazy kid!!!

Comfort Zone?

NOT! This layout is definately not my usual style. That's what I LOVE about Scrap Jammies kits. They stretch my abilities, creativity and my comfort zone.

Here's Another one!

This is ScrapJammies Kit - Apple. We went to the Bellewood Acres apple orchard. If you've never been there (and live nearby) you HAVE to go. They have the most incredible fresh apples, fresh ground honey roasted peanut butter, gourmet cheeses and caramel apples. They are on Ten Mile Road between Hannigan & Guide Meridan. We are weekly visitors. Go there! You won't be sorry :O)
