Finally!

I got this posted up here. Just a bit busy around here. When it's like this I really, really love my Scrapjammies kits. This one is called Rockets Red Glare. And yes!! Those are LEGAL fireworks! Lynette and I had way too much fun being the ones this year to buy the "fun".

More!

Here's what I did on Tuesday night.

ScrapJammies Kit - Up Down Round & Round

What I did with the picture frame~ I LOVE it!!!

While waiting for a Grandbaby to be Born!

I HAD to keep myself busy once I knew labor had started. So I put myself to fun work. Here's what I accomplished.

ScrapJammies - Rings of Approval
Pictures taken right before Robert & Jessica left for Utah

Placed a rub-on on a magnetic picture frame. SO easy!!

I got this basket when I puchased those liter shampoo/conditioner combo's at the hair salon. I'm not going to put metal in the shower but I didn't want to throw it away either. I found the felt pumpkins at JoAnn's (2 for $1) added some natural, black & orange raffia. I'm goign to fil lit with some goodies and give it away!

My scrappin' mojo is happenin'

Have I told you how much I LOVE ScrapJammies? HA! Here's another kit I did this weekend. I was able to use photos from over the years to document my girls' relationship. They really liked these pages when they saw them. I do too :O)

Saturday Scrappin'

Sometimes gloomy, rainy days are the best days to get some scrapping done. I was able to finish both of these today.

ScrapJammies September kit - Calypso. My crazy kids - 1994 when I only had 3!

ScrapJammies September kit - Terra Firma. Our annual ice skating party with the traditional Starbucks hot chocolate. Well, except for David who had the Strawberries & Cream Frappachino. Crazy kid!!!

Comfort Zone?

NOT! This layout is definately not my usual style. That's what I LOVE about Scrap Jammies kits. They stretch my abilities, creativity and my comfort zone.

Here's Another one!

This is ScrapJammies Kit - Apple. We went to the Bellewood Acres apple orchard. If you've never been there (and live nearby) you HAVE to go. They have the most incredible fresh apples, fresh ground honey roasted peanut butter, gourmet cheeses and caramel apples. They are on Ten Mile Road between Hannigan & Guide Meridan. We are weekly visitors. Go there! You won't be sorry :O)

YIKES!!!

Has it really been 1-1/2 months since I last scrapbooked? Looks like it! Today was a great fall day to scrapbook with a friend. Thanks Gracelyn! I was able to complete 2 layouts and a 3rd one is almost done. Just a bit of computer journaling left. Both of these layouts are from ScrapJammies kits.

ScrapJammies -"Eye of the Storm"
This is when my brother came to visit in 2006. We took him down to Taylor Dock in Bellingham for the beautiful view of the bay.

ScrapJammies - "So Sweet"
Our little Amber back in 1994. Yep! I'm really that far behind in scrapping some pictures. Isn't she just the little peanut?!?!

Friday Night Layout

Another night staying up until Tabitha gets home, but this time from work. And another Scrap Jammies kit called Quote Me. The chef in the picture is Oscar Martinez ~ the employee that has worked at Disneyland the longest ~ 50 years! Rob & I remember him when we were kids. Even my brother remembers him. He is retiring this year and we just HAD to get our picture taken with him. This is our favorite restaurant to eat breakfast at inside Disneyland. The Carnation Cafe! Yummy!!

Another Scrap Jammies Kit...

...another Disneyland layout! Love it! Love it! Love it! Scrap Jammies to the quick and easy layout rescue again! I think 80% of our Disneyland 2007 album has been completed with Scrap Jammies kits. Hey, not a complaint from me on that one. All it does is help me complete this album faster. This layout is about all the "little things" that make Disneyland, well, Disneyland. The details that make us smile and add to the magic of being in our favorite place.

Unexpected scrapping with friends

So orginally I was supposed to take Amber to voice/piano lessons last night and they were cancelled. So instead I went to a crop that I had planned not to attend. It was fun to just be with my friends. And lucky for me, the new Scrapjammies kits arrived that afternoon so it was easy to just grab some photos and a few kits at the last minute.

This is the Expo kit. With our pictures on Casey Jr.

Our Laid Back Tuesday

While continuing our Star Wars Movie Marathon (we're on Episode IV) I'm scrapping more Disneyland album. Here's the sketch I based my layout on.

Here's how the layout turned out.

When you head out to Disneyland make sure you go over to California Adventure to check out the Block Party Bash parade. It is great! Very high energy with cast members on bouncing stilts, and doing tricks on trampolines. Very cool!

Another summer movie

It seems like I have extra time in the summer when we watch movies at night and I can scrapbook. That is until I have to wake up at the usual time in the morning!

This is our traditional first attraction on the first day of Disneyland. The Jungle Cruise.

Simple layout with cardstock and Jolee's Boutique embellishments. I even used my own handwriting (which I don't really like) instead of the computer.
Simple = quick pages!

This is TOTALLY Gretchen's fault!

Okay, I'm completely hooked! Altering! It's taken me a while to get there but now I totally LOVE it! I saw this tray at the mall ($1.50) and HAD to pick it up and alter it last night.

A close-up of the quote.

Papers are My Mind's Eye, Tres Jolie Mademoiselle line. Papers are called - Darling Tapestry & Darling Polka Dots. Rub-ons are Making Memories Simply Stated, flowers & bling from my stash.

Just too fun!

Quick kits!

One of the many things I love about Scrapjammies kits is that they go together VERY fast! Once I find the "just right" pictures, the rest is easy. These 2 layouts I put together last night while watching a movie (Star Wars, Episode 2 to be exact). Love it! Love it! Love it!

This is from the July kit and it's called "Cloisonne'" More Disneyland fun times!

This kit is called "No Boundaries". Currently on discount for $5! Such a deal. No really, I'm not a sales person for Scrapjammies. I just LOVE their creativity. They put papers together in a way that I just wouldn't even think of doing. It helps me to stretch out of my box. Plus Laurie & Dawn are just the neatest people.

This makes me happy!

Strange I know but I walked into the den and this just made me smile! I'm slowly working on getting this room in order and organized and here's just a start. But it really makes me happy to have all my scrapping flowers in one area and I can look at them. I'm sure it will help in the winter months. The ducks are from 2 of my Scrap Jammies friends!

More Disneyland album

Woohoo! I'm on such a roll here getting this album done. And if you haven't noticed this is my first 12 x 12 album. I'm usually an 8 1/2 x 11 scrapper. So this has been fun to do. Still don't think I'll completely convert over though ;O)
A quick and easy layout using Jolee's Boutique embellishments and paper I found at either Michael's or JoAnne's (can't remember) and some of my rubber stamps.

I'm still lovin' my Scrap Jammies kit club. This kit is called Outstanding and the layout is of the set-up Disneyland had in the works for the world premiere of Pirates 3 that was happening 2 days after we left. At $1,500 a pop for a ticket, we wouldn't have gone anyway.

Downtime Crafts

With Tabitha recovering from her wisdom teeth surgery I had sometime to finish up a few projects. I did another tray to store our monthly bills. Hey! Gotta have a fun place to store not so fun things right?!?!
And then being in the Altering phase that I am, I attacked this cardboard pencil holder. I'm really happy how it turned out. Tabitha really liked it too. I guess I'm on notice now that she might steal it!

Altered Tray

I really had some fun doing this mini-class by Gretchen Schmidt (http://gretchenschmidt.blogspot.com/) who teaches for Big Picture Scrapbook. I'm going to use this to store deposits that I need to make, checkbooks, etc. Kind of an inbox. I'm trying to be a bit more organized here. That is if Tabitha doesn't steal it from me first!

Sweatin' and Scrappin'

We are experiencing VERY warm, okay HOT weather for NW Washington. Yesterday was in the upper 80's and today we hit 96! A friend said to me today "just roll me over and baste me"! I couldn't stop laughing! But that didn't stop us from getting together and scrapping last night. We all just sweated together and laughed and had fun :O) Here's the layout I finished. Another ScrapJammies kit titled Green Day.

July ScrapJammies kit arrived

So my new box arrived yesterday with 5 layouts. I'm SO excited! I just HAD to create this page last night. Dawn & Laurie, "The Scrap Gals" just make my pictures and layouts look SO good. This is something that my imagination couldnot have created on it's own. Thanks ladies! More Disneyland 2007 album being completed.

Summer is here!

It seems that we never have enough time to scrap in the summer. This layout has been sitting around for a week waiting for me to finish it. This was from our return flight from California.

And thanks to Tabitha having a date on Friday where she didn't get home until 12:30 am I was able to start and complete another layout. Again from Disneyland! That book is coming together fast. Woohoo! This is a Scrapjammies kit - "By the Numbers" and I added cute Jolee's Boutique Mickey Pirate embellishments. Very quick!

Disneyland Album

When hubby heads out of town for the week you can get lots of scrapbooking done :O) I don't sleep very well when he's gone.
Thanks to many of you for supporting Amber in purchasing cinnamon rolls. We made 34 dozen! We don't want to make another one of those for a least a year. That is only if Rick VanderVeen wants some once he can eat solids again. He was a great supporter for Amber. She paid for her entire trip and had a nice wad of $$ to spend on souveiners. She did good!

California Adventure - A Bugs Life 3-D. David was not too happy to see this show. In fact he kind of lost it. Hey, I had to close my eyes too when the spiders came :O)
Padawan David's certificate!

More pictures from the Jedi Training Academy. This was a Scrapjammie online sketch Challenge. I used GinX & Scenic Route pattern papers. Here's the sketch for the challenge. They found it on Page maps (link on the sidebar).

The past 2 days

So I needed a stress release from this ultra busy week. Thursday night I went to a Stampin' Up party. I can't remember the last time I hosted one of those let alone went to one. It was a lot of fun and really kick started some creative juices. Here's the card we made that night.

At first everyone thought I was being such a wacko at taking pictures of our food. But now that this layout is complete they all LOVE it. It just makes our mouth water and wish they shipped their products.
(Scrapjammie kit - Electric)
Splash Mountain ~ what can I say except "Got Wet"?
(Scrapjammie kit - Ticket to Paradise)
King Aruther's Carousel ~ such a classic attraction.
(Scrapjammie kit - Riviera)
As you can tell I LOVE Scrapjammie's kits. They go together SO fast. Check them out under my links when you have the chance.

Disneyland 2007 album

So I thought I better get this album started and finished BEFORE 2009. That's when the next school trip will be. I was so bad with our 2005 album and didn't finish it until a few months before we left in May. Here's what I have so far:
Buzz, Woody & Jessie (I've had this kit for so long. Unknown company)
Pluto & Donald (Another unknown company I purchased this kit from. Very simple but cute)

Storybook Land Canal (a scrapjammie kit)

Grizzly River Run (a scrapjammie kit)

Various family pictures (A scrapjammie kit)

My absolute favorite picture! I love those secret shots.

Welcome!

Thanks for following the link on our family website to check this out. This will be a place where I post completed scrapbook pages. I love to scrapbook ~ too much sometimes. Nnnaaaaaww! I will never be "caught up" but I do enjoy the process. What I like the best is when I see my kids laying on the floor looking through our albums. THAT'S what it's all about! I scrapbook in phases so I'm just going to start posting current layouts. Thanks for stopping by! So until I get a new layout done here's a few pictures to keep you entertained!

Here's a picture BD (before David)! Proof of what wonderful, goofy kids we have! Can you guess what year this was taken? The first person to guess correctly will get a RAK (Random Act of Kindness)! You never know what it will be. Mmmmuuuuhhhaaaaaa!
Here's 2 hints: Oldest son is now married (2005) and youngest son wasn't born yet (1997). So who's up for the challenge? Guess away!
Here's one of David just to prove that he's just as goofy! That's his Kitty Litter Cake we made for his Cub Scout Auction. And it really did taste good. We had to try the ingredients on the side before we assembled the final product. Hey, it brought in $40!
